8-M-PDOT (AH-002) is a selective melatonin MT2 receptor agonist with anti-anxiety activity. It binds human recombinant MT1 and MT2 receptors with pKi 8.23 and 8.95 respectively. In vivo studies: 10 µg/µL administered into dorsal striatum of male Wistar rats (280-320 g) for 30 minutes showed anxiolytic-like effect.
