- (+/-)13-HODE cholesteryl ester 最初是从动脉粥样硬化病变中提取的,并被证实是由 Cu2+ 催化的 LDL 氧化产生的。后来的研究确定,来自兔网织红细胞和人单核细胞的 15-LO 能够将胆固醇亚油酸酯(LDL 的主要成分)代谢为 13-HODE 胆固醇酯。
