BCX 1470 methanesulfonate is a serine protease inhibitor. It blocks the esterolytic and hemolytic activities of the complement enzymes Cls and factor D in vitro, also blocks development of RPA-induced edema in the rat. It inhibits Factor D and C1s ester hydrolysis activity with IC50 96 nM and 1.6 nM respectively, and Trypsin with IC50 326 nM.
