Oxythiamine is an antimetabolite and vitamin B1 antagonist, known as a thiamine antagonist and transketolase inhibitor. It alters protein expression in a dose and time-dependent manner, increasing alpha-enolase and suppressing 14-3-3 protein beta/alpha expression, used in biochemical research.
