Strontium phosphide (UN 2013, PG I) is water-reactive, producing toxic phosphine gas (PH3) and flammable gases. It is highly toxic, corrosive, and may cause severe injury/death via inhalation, skin contact, or ingestion. Fire produces irritating/toxic gases. Avoid water contact; use dry chemicals/CO2 for fire. PPE: SCBA and chemical protective clothing. Isolate spills, evacuate areas, and avoid ignition sources.
